NEXTGEN Analog Inclinometers – Available Now

nextgen_inclinometers_analog

The NEXTGEN inclinometers are available now in our product finder!

POSITAL has updated its family of TILTIX inclinometers with new three-axis MEMS accelerometers, enhanced firmware, and a new housing concept. These changes enable POSITAL to streamline manufacturing processes and reduce delivery times. The new versions are compatible with older models while offering improved accuracy and better signal-to-noise ratios. Common applications include solar panels, mobile machinery, control systems for cranes, and tilt control in service robots, AGV’s and other materials-handling systems.

The new Analog interface is now ready for series production. In addition to the improved cross axis sensitivity, extended measuring range and optimized production process, the new product offers countless programming capabilities like no other Analog inclinometer on the market. Additional features and programmability are currently in development and will become available next year. To make the change easier for you during the ordering process, we will automatically confirm all new orders directly with the new generation.

  • Enhanced Programming Function (Number of Axes, Filtering Methods)
  • Reduced Cross-Axis Sensitivity
  • Improved Measurement Accuracy to ± 0.1 Degrees
  • Available in Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Housings or IP69K-rated Metal Enclosures
  • Configuration with the UBIFAST Configuration tool – available from Q3 2024

Increase the Lifetime of Your Draw-Wire with These Suggestions!

draw_wire_mechanic

POSITAL’s white paper on draw wire sensors explains how to increase the sensor’s service life as well as factors that influence their performance. One of the major factors is movement within the elements of the sensor (measuring wire, spring, and sensor element) that creates wear. Using the spring within the suggested working range and checking the sensor elements helps extend the service life. Both the sensor and spring are subject to environmental conditions, such as humidity, chemicals, and high temperatures, which can all reduce the life cycle of your draw-wire.

  • Service Life Influenced by Wear on Spring and Sensor
  • Proper Usage Range of the Spring Extends the Service Life
  • Installation and Suitable Protection Can Enhance the Service Life
  • Environmental Factors, if Not Properly Assessed, Reduce the Service Life

Improve Construction Machine Performance with POSITAL Encoders

construction_machine_excavator

Safety, efficiency, and reliability are critical in the effective performance of construction machinery, especially cranes. POSITAL encoders can be used in a variety of applications to accomplish these goals - such as monitoring the stability of a platform and the careful positioning of crane boom arms and blasting equipment. To be effective, sensors must withstand years of impact, shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, and inclement weather.

  • Encoders & Inclinometers with High Protection up to IP69K
  • Up to 300N Load and up to 300g Shock
  • Redundant Absolute Encoders Ideal for Safety Critical Applications
  • Certified Explosion Proof Encoders & Inclinometers

Find the Right Coupling for your Machine

couplings_1

Couplings connect the shaft of an encoder to a moving shaft of a machine. POSITAL offers a wide variety of coupling types including Disc Couplings, Bellow Couplings and Jaw couplings with various combinations from diameter 6mm to 10mm that are available to be purchased.

Bellow Coupling

  • Used in applications where there is high torsion stiffness and/or a low mass moment of inertia
  • Behave well with axial, radial, and angular displacements due to flexible design.

Jaw Coupling

  • Used in industrial automation applications
  • Stiffness allows these couplings to handle backlash and high surface pressures

Disc Coupling

  • Used for high speed and high performance applications
  • Handle high torque loads and support shaft misalignment

Double Loop

  • Used in heavy duty applications due to high thermal and electrical isolation
  • Can equalize large axial, radial and angular offsets
